Wannasa Thongviset is an actress and model who went wild with cosmetic surgery
and made bit a name for herself over it. She had her whole face done - the typical nose job the Thai ladies like to
make her small cute nose longer and more like a westerner's, the chin implant to give her that pointed witch chin,
the eye lid surgery for a more western appearance, and the collagen injection to give her big fat lips.
Unlike many Thai celebrities she wasn't secretive about it either. It is believed she got a lot of the work done for free in exchange for her endorsing the cosmetic surgery center in Bangkok that did the work.
Cosmetic surgery has become popular among Thai celebrities because they want to look more western to compete with the luuk krueng (mixed Thai/western) models and actresses who are so popular. For sure it hasn't caught up with the popularity state-side of a face lift in New York or a Beverly Hills tummy tuck. But Hollywood plastic/cosmetic surgeons are only slightly more busy than those in Bangkok.
