Example: You send a small package with a declared value of zero and the shipping cost is $40. When the lady receives it she will have to pay about 280 baht. Most average Thai ladies make about 300 baht per day...big problem.

Translate It!

A number of clients have complained about slow responses from some of the ladies. After contacting several of the ladies to determine why, we feel we need to re-emphasize that you will get the best and fastest response if you send both English and Thai, at least in your first few letters. General Tips For Success

Our ladies are all genuinely interested in meeting a western man so your chances of getting a good response are great. Here are some tips for achieving the best results.

1. Send a photo.  Nothing generates more excitement than a couple of good photos.   Send your best high quality closeup of your face as well as a full body shot.   Don't worry if you feel you aren't handsome enough.  With your round eyes and long nose you are as exotic to Thai ladies as they are to you.  Being too handsome can work against you.  They may suspect you are a "butterfly", a playboy.   Be clean, well groomed, and genuine.  They will love you.
2. Use simple English in your letters.  Many Thai ladies have limited English reading and writing skills so don't make it complicated.
3. A small compliment makes a big impression with Thai ladies.  It may seem obvious to you that she is beautiful but make sure your tell her.  She may not be used to hearing it.
4. Age - The Thai ladies you see here are sincere about meeting a western man.  They aren't looking for a young playboy.  They almost always want a man who is quite a bit older, typically 10 or 15 years or more their senior.  So don't be afraid to contact one of the girls who is much younger than you.
5. If the lady provides her telephone number send a letter and photo before you call.  You will likely get a warmer response if your lady has a photo and knows to whom she is speaking.
6. Be patient. Remember that snail mail is VERY slow, one to two weeks in each direction. And even with email, it may take a week or so to get a response because few of the ladies own a computer. They must visit an internet cafe to read email.

10. Family is very important in Thai society.  You will be thought of as a good man if family is important to you, especially if in some way you provide for your parents and siblings.
11. Thai ladies can be very jealous.  It is best to avoid even the slightest provocation.  Don't talk about other women, including past girlfriends or wives.
12. Learn more about Thai culture.  A few words of Thai and an appreciation for the culture will go a long way to making her feel comfortable with you.  Besides, Thai culture is truly wonderful; you will love it!
