After the bad news about the International Motor Expo 2006 at the IMPACT center last year I was ready to skip this year's Bangkok International Auto Show at BITEC. The bad news was that all the exhibitors had decided to tone down the booth babe scene. It had become quite wild in previous years, sort of an arms race to see who could outdo everybody else with sexier outfits and shows. But then they decided to end all that. After watching coverage on TV I decided on a personal boycott. And then the show at BITEC rolls around and TV coverage showed the same effect, boring booth babes. But the difference is that there are four venues around the BITEC center, the main hall has the cars and trucks, the secondard hall has the motorcycles, a big tent houses accessories, and there is a large outdoor car audio area open at night. The main hall was the boring part. But the other areas were still good. And that is where I went and snapped some photos. As always, the crowds, lighting and movement (think wild dancing) make getting good photos difficult. But there are a few.
